Asiagbekor
This war dance tells a story about how the people of the Volta
region fought for peace and fertile land. It's mainly performed
by male dancers but today women are also participating. The
males hold swords and portray spectacular fighting movements!
In this dance, many forward and backward movements are made
symbolizing the back- and forward movements the warriors also
made when fighting the enemy.
Jirawa
Is a social dance form northern Nigeria and is mostly performed
during the harvest season. In this dance the women portray some
movement which tells how beautiful they are and the boys also
performs some vigorous movement to demonstrate how strong they
are.
Conco
Is a creative dance from Guinea which combines freestyle and
traditional movement of many pieces of dance. Conco is a recreational
and very nice dance to watch.
